My Cute Kids!

Conner just adores his little sister, and he always has to be right by her.  The other day I laid Vika on the floor for some tummy time, and Conner had to lay right next to her on his tummy.  I rolled them both over and took this really cute picture.  Do you see a resemblance?

Random Facts About Conner

Conner has such a bubbly, fun personality!  He has been doing/saying some of the craziest things lately, so I thought I would share some of them with you.

* He loves to dance like Happy Feet!

* When he is pretending to play baseball in the house he runs the bases and then slides into home plate.  He either slides on his bum with one leg out in front, or on his stomach-head first.

* He randomly starts singing "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam".  He starts by singing, "At home, at school, at play".

* He really likes Pirates, pirate ships, a tiny pirate sword (he calls it a hook) at Nicole's house, an eye patch (also at Nicole's house), and his pirate books.  He says, "Aar Matey" and "Shiver me Timbers".

* Dave got him watching Full House, and now he sticks up his thumb and says, "You Got It Dude".  

* When he falls down I ask him if he is ok and he says, "I'm fine".

* When Vika cries, whether or not I am in the room he will yell to me, "Mommy, baby Vika crying."

* He calls every kind of soda Pepsi, and says its yucky!

* He gets mad when I am feeding Vika because he can't hold her.

* Whenever he gets excited he yells in a girly voice, "Yeah, Whoo Hoo."

* He sings, dances, and mimics his favorite show Backyardigans.

* He shoots jump shots into his basketball hoop and then says, "Yeah, 2 points."

* His favorite video game to watch is Guitar Hero.  He yells, "5 stars, 100%, and Rock On"

1 Month!!

I can't believe Vika is already one month old!  Time just flies! She is very girly, and I love it.  You can't tell by these pictures, but she has the most beautiful lips.  She will never need lipstick, because it looks like she is wearing it already.

 We have totally enjoyed this month.  She has been a really good baby.  She sleeps really good, and eats a lot.  She still looks very small, but she is growing.  She is starting to grow out of the newborn size, and move up to 0-3 month clothes.  Also, she is starting to smile back at me.  I forgot how much I love newborn smiles.

Messy Mother's Day

Let me just start by saying that this is a few days late but better now than never, right?  For Mother's Day Dave made me breakfast, and gave me beautiful roses!  He made the day wonderful for me by never making me feel rushed, which I really hate.  We got to see both of our Mothers, and to top it off we got to talk to my little brother on the phone (he is on his mission in Korea)!  Thanks Dave for a great Mother's Day!  I hope all of you had a good day as well.  

Conner loved the cinnamon rolls that Dave made, and got them all over his face.  He only ate the tops of them because he loved the frosting.  He is just like his daddy.  I loved this picture so much that I just had to share it with all of you.

2 weeks

Can you believe she is already 2 weeks old?  Tuesday morning her cord fell off.  That afternoon she had her first doctor appointment.  She weighs 7 lbs 14 oz, and she is 19 1/2 in long.  She is growing up way too fast for me.

This is what Conner's hair looked like this morning.  Thankfully we are getting his hair cut today.  I really didn't think his hair could get this bad, but he is constantly full of surprises.  

We don't part his hair, so how that part got there is beyond me.
