2 Sundays ago I was called to be the new 2nd Counselor in the RS Presidency. I was completely shocked by this calling. I was thinking a couple of months ago that I could never be in the RS presidency because these women are AWESOME!! I looked up to them so much. Well, I guess I learned my lesson. I will no longer be comparing myself to anyone, and thinking that I am not able to do something.
I am still scared and nervous about my calling, but I am slowly getting better. I am learning new things all the time, and trying not to be too intimidated by things. For anyone that doesn't know me well, I am very shy and reserved. I don't mind talking to new people, but I don't like initiating the conversation. That is definitely going to have to change. I know I am in for a world of change. I am going to be pushed out of my comfort zone, which will be a good thing for me. The thing I am most nervous about right now is teaching. I am scared to be in front of a lot of people, but its just something that I will have to get used to.
I am looking forward to all the fun activities and getting to know the sisters in my ward. I just hope I don't let my fears get the best of me.
