Haircuts

Conner got a haircut! He got sick of me pestering him everyday to do his mohawk, so we decided to just shave it. Yes, he still has a mohawk, but its easier to manage and he loves it!!

Dave has been losing weight ever since his food poisoning from Taco Bell. He decided it was time to cut his hair. He has been growing it out for awhile, and it was super long. I barely recognized him after his haircut!! He looks very handsome, and I'm so proud of him for trying to eat better!!

Just for fun I chopped my hair! I'm really glad I was able to go through with it because I was pretty nervous. I have never had my hair this short before. I LOVE it!!!

No, Vika didn't her haircut. :( But I couldn't leave her out of this post. She was modeling her Christmas dress. (This was her dress from last year, and it still fits!!)

Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween. Its always been Conner's favorite holiday because its in his birthday month and he thinks that all the parties are for him!! I like to have us all matching in similar costumes. Last year we were all pirates! So this year I decided we would go with Conner's personality and be Punk Rockers!! We had a lot of fun getting all dressed up, putting lots of makeup on, and spraying painting our hair!!

Vika had all blue hair, and she absolutely loved getting makeup on!! This was Vika's first year trick or treating, and she didn't want to stop even though she couldn't feel her hands because they were so cold. She just wanted to get more candy.

BTW they both completely forgot all about the candy the next day, so I hid it from them. I ate a lot of it by myself and then threw away the stuff I didn't want. They still have no idea that they missed out on all of their candy!!! LOL

Conner's Birthday!! (very, very late)

I realize this is super late, but Conner's birthday in October was so much fun. He is now 5, and just growing up way too fast. We took him to Disneyland, and we had a blast!! We went with his Grandma Teri, Aunt Lissa, and Uncle Joey!! I think this was a birthday he will remember for a long time!

This was also Vika's very first time to Disneyland! She loved most of it. She cried on a lot of rides because they were too scary, and she just wanted to go outside. We did, however, find a few rides that she absolutely loved. The carousel, Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear, and It's a Small World.

Summer Days

I can't believe that Summer is almost over. Its gone by way too fast. Sadly, I didn't do all the things I had originally planned, but we have still had some fun.

This is my bow frame I made, with a little help from Deb!! I bought a plain frame from Roberts and painted it dark brown with a black glaze. And then just hot glued the ribbon on!! Super easy and so cute!!

We have been doing some cloud watching!! My kids absolutely love to lay on the grass at Grandma Teri's and stare up at the clouds. This was awesome day to cloud watch because of the cool clouds!!!

This Summer Vika moved out of her crib into a toddler bed!! She did awesome the first couple of days and nights. Now she gets out of her bed anytime she can!! She still had a way better transition than Conner!!

To keep busy on the crazy rainy days, we have been making forts!!

The kids absolutely love making forts, and will even pose for a pic!!

We have been having fun this Summer, how about you? What have you been doing to stay busy?

Running

I love running!! I still haven't been able to run very far, not sure why that is. I think its because I don't push myself hard enough. I just need to find more time so that I can do what I love doing.

On Saturday I will be running in my 3rd 5K of the year. I'm really excited to do this. My first 5K didn't go so well. I was only able to run about half of it, and the rest I was walking, and trying to deal with a stupid side ache. My time was about 40 min. Very pitiful. My 2nd 5K went much better. I was able to run most of it. I stopped for only 5 min to walk, and then sprinted the fastest I remember ever running in my life!! My time was 33:02!! I was very proud of myself because my only goal was to beat my last time. And I killed that time!

This 5K on Saturday is going to be different than the other 2. Because I just want to run the ENTIRE thing without walking, and still be able to get a good time! We will just have to see if I can pull this off!! Wish me luck!!!

T-Ball

Conner has been playing T-ball, and he absolutely LOVES it!! We haven't enjoyed the nasty weather, but watching Conner play has more than made up for that!!

Conner gets really into the game, and loves to watch the players hit the ball so that he can catch it!!!

Vika's Dr Appt

In April Vika went to the Dr for her 2 year old well check-up. I learned that she is still super small, in the 2%tile in height and weight. She is right on track for her growth curve, but she is just so petite. We love her so much, and we wouldn't take her any other way!!!!

She gets really nervous at the Dr, and for good reason too. Every time we go they give her shots. :( This is her nervous smile, she had to have my chapstick, and touch her belly button! All of these are things she does when she is nervous.

Vika's Birthday Party

Better late than never, right? Vika had so much fun at her birthday party!! We had my family over for a BBQ. Vika loved having everyone here and she especially loved opening all her presents, she really got spoiled. We enjoyed pink and white cupcakes, and Vika's favorite part singing Happy Birthday. We then played Band Hero!!! It was such a fun night!!!

Vika was just pulling things out as fast as she could!!! It was really funny!

She would give people a big hug and Thank you after she opened their present!!!

This cape was actually from Conner, but she loved wearing it and she loves her aunt Deb!!!

She kept pulling the funniest faces every time I took her picture! Notice her cute new slippers (from Mom and Dad)!!!!

Thank you everyone that was able to come!!! Vika loved every minute of her party, and she still says Thanks for her presents!!!

Conner's Preschool Graduation

Happy Birthday Vika!!

This is Vika saying "cheese" before her birthday breakfast!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this little girl! She is getting so big, and I don't mean her size. She is still very petite and small, but she has a very big personality! She has a huge vocabulary and she knows her colors! She really wants to do everything her brother does, even if she really is too small.

She absolutely loves nursery and begs almost every day to go!! Its really cute! She loves to sing and dance! And she also loves to watch all of Conner's boy shows!! I love that she likes to be girly and she doesn't mind a little dirt!

She is my little buddy when Conner is in preschool. We go to lunch and go shopping, and have so much fun together! I love her so much and honestly I am so blessed to have her as my daughter!

Silly Kids

2 sick kids watching a movie trying to feel better! :(

Both kids were sick the last 2 weeks in March. They both were so sad. There a few days Conner felt ok and so he would ask if we could go somewhere, and would have to tell him no. He was so sad to miss preschool.

This video is of the kids playing at the bottom of the stairs. They were making each other laugh.

Finally, the last week or so they have been their normal happy, fighting selves. It has been nice to have them feeling good. I just hope that I am not jinxing myself by posting this.

A Much Happier Me

The last few weeks I have been trying to go running as often as I can. My husband has been great, and very supportive. He will get home from work and let me leave for a little bit. I started out really bad and out of shape. My first run was really bad, I couldn't even run through 1 whole song. Now, I am so happy to say that I am able to run through 4 whole songs. I keep upping the number and feel great every time I do.

I have been so much happier since I started running. I am able to be more patient with my kids, and thats saying A LOT!! Just ask my husband he will tell you that I am not the most patient person and I was yelling at my kids non-stop for very stupid reasons. I am so glad that most of that is behind me, I still have some work in that area. Running is seriously my highlight for the day. I feel great when I am out, and when I get home and can feel the burn. It makes me feel like I accomplished something.

I have been more motivated to clean my house, its still not very clean but its much better. I can sleep a lot better at night! All-in-all I just feel so much happier!! I really hope I can keep this up!! I am so glad its warming up because I hate the bitter cold, its not good for my throat.

I am also happy to report that Dave has been able to get back to the gym!! If only he could get up early enough to get in a good workout before work. About 3 weeks ago he stopped going because I was in a car accident, and so I needed his car. As of Saturday we have a brand new car that is exactly what I wanted! Dave has been going to the gym again ALL this week, and I am so proud of him!!!

My Kids: In A Nutshell

Vika:

My little girl is growing up way too fast. She catches onto everything super quick, and has a vocabulary too long to write down. She has a fiery little personality. She can be super sweet at times and then in a second get so much attitude. She is constantly keeping us guessing, and making everyone laugh!

She loves to sing, and sings along to most songs in the car. We have been listening to A LOT of Michael Jackson lately. She likes to sing "OW" to the music, its really cute!! She sings: Billy Jean, Beat It, Thriller! Her favorite church song is "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam"! She likes to watch shows with Conner, and sings: The Full House theme, and Charles In Charge (which she calls Charge of Me).

Vika loves to be girly with all her dolls and princesses, but she also loves Conner's Super Heroes, boy stuff. She loves to watch anything that Conner watches: Scooby Doo, Spongebob, and many, many others. She loves her big brother and always follows him around and copies whatever he does.

We love her more and more everyday, and couldn't imagine her not in our lives!

Conner:

Our big boy is getting smarter, and more independent everyday. He thinks he knows everything and its hard to change his mind sometimes. He says hilarious things ALL day long. He knows when he has done something wrong, and can instantly give me a smile that makes it hard to yell, sometimes. He loves his little sister, but they fight like true siblings all the time.

Conner loves to play sports, still. He has been into soccer lately, because we can sort of play in the house. He had a lot of fun during football season watching BYU and Colts games with Grandma, and Cowboys with Lissa. He can't wait for baseball season to start, and loves to wear his many jerseys.

Conner is really into dressing himself and picking out his own clothes. He matches things really well, which is awesome because very rarely am I embarrassed to let him out of the house. When we are at home he is either in basketball shorts, or just his underwear. He changes his clothes constantly and because of that its hard to keep his room clean, and I never know which clothes are clean or dirty.

Conner is also really into Michael Jackson. He thinks he can moon walk which is really hilarious to watch. He is always telling me call him other names besides his own. He likes to be: Superman, Spiderman, He-Man, Batman, Indiana Jones, Michael Jackson, Hulk, Captain Jack Sparrow, and many others that I can't think of.

Some things he has been saying: "I can't believe", "Apparently", "When I am big like my Daddy I will have a beard and mustache", "When I am 16 I will drive a blue truck"

He is always coming up with new things, and surprising me with is smarts. He has an infectious laugh, and can be the center of attention when he wants it. He loves to play drums, and is doing really well in his drum lessons.

We love Conner so much, and our lives wouldn't be complete without him!

They both look out for each other and have a great relationship. I just hope they can always stay close friends!!!!!

Its Almost Valentine's Day?

I am finally posting again, can you believe it? And to make it better, you get to see lots of pics!!! February is just flying by. I am so excited for Valentine's Day! Its the anniversary of when Dave proposed to me! Can you believe it was 7 years ago? It seems like it was just yesterday!!! I was on vacation in Oceanside, CA with my fam and he just decided to drive all night to come and propose to me! He snuck up on my while we were at the San Diego Zoo. It was the best surprise EVER!!! I was totally clueless about the whole thing, but apparently EVERYONE else knew about it! They all did a great job hiding it from me! I can be totally oblivious sometimes!!!

To kick off this wonderful month here is a pic of my brand new nephew! My awesome little sister had her new baby finally (this is #2 for her)! She only pushed through 1 contraction!!! Can you believe that? She did however have to go through about 9 hours of labor, but still it was a quick delivery!!!!

Landon James Willmore was born on Feb. 5!!! He is such a good baby! I have only heard him cry right after he was born. I could just hold him all day long!

I asked Conner to clean up his toys, and he got creative and made a huge tower. He did have a little help from his Dad to get the stuff on the very top. We all stood by it, so that you could get a visual of how tall that sucker was!!! I was just glad he actually listened, and cleaned up!!!!

For my Dad's birthday back in Jan. we all went to Chuck-A-Rama!! The kids weren't interested in eating so they decided to run around the table. Conner was holding Vika's hand so she wouldn't fall down, or run away!! He can be such a big helper sometimes!

Conner fell asleep on Auntie Lissa at Ruby River!! He was so tired after sitting at a freezing cold football game!!

Happy New Year!

I realize its way past New Year's, but I have been a blogging slacker once again. And on top of my lack of blogging I have been slacking in the picture taking department as well. So, you just get to read about what we have been up to, instead of seeing cool pictures to go with it. Sorry.

I have to go back before the New Year to really catch you all up on what we have been doing.

October: At the end of October my little brother got home from his mission in Korea! We are so lucky to have him living here with us. My kids just adore him, and he has been a huge help!!

November: On Nov. 19 I was fortunate enough to be able to get LASIK! I am so glad I did it and I am just loving the freedom I have without my glasses and contacts!!!!

December: Dec. 10 Conner started Drum lessons. Well, I am learning with him so that I can help him practice! He absolutely loves it, and his teacher is great. His teacher said that Conner is a natural, and is just being reminded of things that he knew before he was born!!!

January: Friday Jan. 8 Dave and I drove to St. George for the night. We left Vika home with my brother, and they had great time for the whole week that we were gone. We left St. George in the morning and continued our drive into warm and sunny California!!! We stayed at Dave's Aunt and Uncle's house in Thousand Oaks for the night, and they fed us some really yummy food. We then made our way to Disneyland!!! We spent 2 days there and then drove to San Diego, where Dave's sister got married in the San Diego Temple Wed. Jan. 13!! It was a beautiful ceremony!!! They got pictures taken on the beach at sunset, with beautiful waves and wonderful weather!!! I am so jealous and now I really want to redo ALL my wedding photos. Friday was the reception, and both of my kids were wired and bouncing off the walls all night long. Conner was the ring bearer, and got to wear a very handsome tux, and Vika just got a really pretty new dress!!! We are so happy for Joanna and Matt and also so glad that the stress of wedding plans are over.

Hopefully, I get back into the groove of picture taking!!!!
