Vika Is Getting So Big!!

Vika is growing up way too fast for me.  She started saying real words.  I got a video of her saying her favorite word.  Just in case you can't understand her the word is 'Baby'.  She says it constantly, and Conner loves to get her to say it!!

Problem Solved

Conner has a solution to your dehydration.  Just get one cup with milk and another cup with juice, and drink them at the same time!!  You will never be dehydrated again!!  

I know it is totally disgusting, but he was having fun and not making a mess!!  That almost never happens!

9 Months!!

A couple weeks ago Vika had her 9 month Dr. visit!  She was such a lucky girl that she didn't even need to get any shots.  YEAH!!!  They just had to prick her foot to check her iron level, which was totally normal.  She weighed in at 17 lbs 5 oz, which is exactly 10 lbs heavier than when she was born!!

1. Did you date someone in high school?  Not really.  I never steady dated anyone, really.
2. What kind of car did you drive? A big white van with maroon stripes.  Good times!  Some people thought it would be funny to call it the "Shaggin' Wagon"
3. Did you pass your driver's license test the first time? Of Course, I am a good driver!!
4. Were you a party animal? Not at all, but I enjoyed parties with my friends!!
5. Were you considered a flirt? I don't think so, but you might need to ask my friends about that one.  I was really shy, I still am.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I only joined the non-audition choir my senior year because I needed that credit.
7. Were you a nerd? Probably, again you may need to ask my friends.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? No.
9. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? Of course not, I was a good student.
10. Can you still sing your fight song? Definitely
11. Who were your favorite teachers? English Mr. Snell and my math teacher senior year, but I can't remember his name.  Mrs. Southwick she liked me and my friends!!
12. Where did you sit at lunch? The Common's Area, either at a table or on the steps.

15. Did you go to homecoming and who with? My senior year I went with Dave!!
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Never, I didn't really like High School.  Too much drama.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? Partying with my friends!  Taking TONS of pictures!  At the all-night party I won $20!!
18. Where did you go on Senior Skip Day? Aspen Grove, I didn't really do much though.
19. Were you in any clubs? FFA only because it was just my friends on it, and we liked the teacher in charge!!
20. Have you gained weight since then? I think so.  I pretty much just stay the same.
21. Who was your prom date? I sadly never went to prom.
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Probably not, Dave would never go with me.
23. Did you have a job while in high school? I was a receptionist at Great Clips, only on Saturdays.
24. Worst class? The ones that didn't have any of my friends, and Science.
25. Favorite class? I would have to say Mrs. Southwick's class.  I had a lot of friends in there!!

You Know Your Son Is Obsessed With Baseball When...

*He sleeps with at least 1, but sometimes 2 baseballs every night.

*He asks for a 'Once Upon a Time' about baseball every night.

*He can tell the difference between all of his baseballs.  

*He loves wearing his shirts with baseballs on them almost everyday.

*Baseballs are considered toys to him.

*He has a specific bat that he will play with, all the others are non-existent to him.

*He still plays with his baseball toy he got for his 1st birthday.

*He has baseballs everywhere in his room. (a rug, bedding, pictures, and a night-light)

*He has many baseball jerseys and loves to wear them year round.

*The only hat he will wear anymore is his baseball hat from the Diamond Backs.

*He walks around the house with a foam finger chanting, "Dodgers Number 1".

*He can tell, just by the logo, most of the MLB teams.

*He gets the biggest smile on his face when you sing 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game", sometimes he will sing along.

*He loves going to his Daddy's softball games, and talks about it when its not in season.

*For awhile his favorite movies included: Baseball Bloopers, Rookie of the Year, The Rookie, Sandlot, Everyone's Hero, Scooby Doo Baseball.

Toward the end of Season 8 Joey develops a crush on Rachel.  Joey discusses with each of the friends about his feelings, in what order does he have these discussions? (which friend did he talk to 1st, 2nd, 3rd...)

Haircut, Hanging Out and Rapping

Saturday was a long day, but so much fun.  Dave was such a good dad and husband.  He spent all day with Conner and did ALL of the laundry (at his mother's house).  Side note: our dryer broke.  I went with my sister to our friend's bridal shower, and spent all day together with our other sister.  It was fun to hang out, and know that Dave was getting stuff done.  These pictures were taken when I got back to my MIL's that night.  Dave's sister even made crepes for us, how nice was that?  The only downer of the day was that both kids were a little under the weather with runny noses and coughs.  

Vika had so much fun eating this football necklace of Conner's.

Conner got a haircut on Saturday by his Auntie Lissa.  Thanks Lissa he looks so handsome.  I love his mohawk!!

He got this pose from Auntie Jojo, he thinks he is so cool!

I told him to look at the camera and smile, and he did this.  He thinks he is a homie!!

This makes me laugh.  Conner is rapping with Dave.  This is him attempting to rap the song 'No Sleep Til Brooklyn' By The Beastie Boys.  He is holding an air microphone in this picture!!

Conner makes me laugh everyday.  I don't know what I would do without this kid, he is so funny and so full of love.  He is a sweet little boy that is constantly giving me hugs and kisses, and telling me that he loves me.  What mother could ask for more?  I know I couldn't!!  Thanks Conner and Vika for making my life complete!!

Daddy's Girl

Vika loves her Daddy!!  This was one of those moments that just melted my heart.  Dave just snuggling his baby girl.

Moments after these pictures were taken Vika fell fast asleep.  

Ever since I found out I was having a girl I have been excited about her being a Daddy's girl.  Dave was just in heaven and didn't really want me to move her, but we had to leave.  

In the morning before Dave leaves for work there a some days when Vika is awake.  She loves it when Dave holds her and gives her hugs and kisses.  She usually won't go back to me easily.  I love how much they love each other and the special bond that they share!!
